@rodemics, Hi,
Thank you very much for your feedback!
The patch, which will be released next week, includes improvements to the fuel system.
The drop tanks will be fully functional. The fuel manager will also be implemented
1. Regarding the fuel pumps.
The fuel system of Mig21 is simple and designed so that no fuel pumps are needed for normal engine operation in level flight and normal positive overGs. Fuel pouring the engine by gravity. (From Wings and 3rd Group to 2nd group then to 1st group then to supply tank).
This is done so that in the event of a pump or electrical failure, you can safely return home.
Fuel pumps are only necessary during intensive maneuvering with negative Gs, for pumping fuel successively into the supply tank.
So now, In the inverted flight and with fuel pumping off to the supply tank, the engine will stall after running out of fuel in the supply tank. (10-60 seconds depending on the engine operating mode)
It is necessary to turn off the pump when corresponded tank is empty, to avoid overheat (it is cooled by the fuel that it pumps. The only reason)
2. As to indication panel logic, we will fix it in the next patches (it is not easy due to some limitations of functionality P3D related to fuel system and particularly fuel pumps. Now it is allowed only 1 fuel pump per engine)
3. Pressurization logic and gauges, as well as Radar will also be done in the next patches
Thank you,
